Planning a Wedding on a Small Budget
Find Inexpensive Things That Do Not Look Cheap

Many believe that it is easier to plan things out when you have a big budget. You can move freely if money is also flowing freely. If you are preparing for a wedding, a lot of can be done fast if you have enough budget for everything. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Sometimes you have to contend with just a small budget. Planning a wedding on a small budget can really be challenging especially if you are not resourceful. To help you plan for your wedding here are some tips that you can use.

Start by setting your budget. You must know how much you can actually spend so you can plan well. Then list down all the things that you will need according to priority. Is your gown the most important? Do you want to put more premium on the reception? Do you prefer pictures over videos to preserve memories of this important event in your life?

Then your next stop in planning a wedding on a small budget is to cut down your guest list. This means that you really have to talk with your partner to know who the most important people in your lives are. Sometimes the guest list extends because of certain uninvited guests like the date of this guest or the young daughter of that guest. Make sure that you specify in your invitation the number of seats you have reserved for a certain person or family.

It will also be a big help in planning a wedding on a small budget if you can find people who can do some things for you for free or at discounted rates. See for example if you have relatives who do catering services. They might be able to give you certain discounts. Try also to find out if you have a friends who has a photo studio so he or she can take care of that concern either for free or for a lower cost.

It can also do you well if you will look for suppliers who are not really professional wedding suppliers. With them you might get things at lower prices. For example instead of going to an established wedding cake supplier you can try out your neighborhood cake shops. Or instead of going to a recognized make up artist you can try the services of the artist in the salon at the end of your street.

For your gown, you also do not need to go to famous fashion designers. There are designers who may not be popular but make good wedding gowns. You can also try to look for ready-to-wear gowns. If you can carry regular dresses well then chances are you will still look great even if you buy your gown off the rack. Do not worry that your gown might look the same as somebody else's. You can always have a few modifications made for a minimal fee.

Planning for a wedding on a small budget can be an exciting thing if you will solicit the help of a few friends. Surely they would be glad to be part of this important day in your life.
