How To Deliver The Best Best Man Speech Ever!

Your best friend is getting married and you have the dubious honour of being the Best Man but you don't really like public speaking. So what do you do? You don't want to let your best friend down.

First of all, don't listen to people that say 'just imagine everyone is naked' it doesn't work. It's just distracting with so many elderly relatives in the room and at the other end of the scale; if any of the Bridesmaids are hot it will be even more distracting for a completely different reason.

The only way to deal with the Best Man wedding speeches if you are not totally comfortable with public speaking is to build your confidence. There are many ways you can do this.

Alcohol works well, but the downside is you may get it wrong and you may say something quite damaging, depending on the type of person you are when a little inebriated. It's something I wouldn't recommend as you need to be relaxed but you also need to get it right as you can upset quite a lot of people if you say the wrong thing.

When you have written your speech, run it by someone sensible and get a second opinion. Practice the speech over and over; this will help your confidence. Speak slowly and take deep breaths, remember most of the people in the audience would hate to be doing what you are doing and some wouldn't even be able to do it at all. Many of them will be slightly worse for wear by the time you give the speech as well. Breathing exercises are great if you know what ones to do. So do a bit of research online and find a breathing exercise guide.

Many people use those self help hypnosis sessions, recorded on their ipods or mobile phones and listen to last thing at night. They work subliminally to build your confidence and many people have great success with these. You can of course take it a stage further and visit a hypnotist who will work on your confidence and make you brilliant at delivering best man wedding speeches. But not everyone is comfortable with hypnotism.

There is of course lots of help online and many e-books that will help you write a fantastic and funny Best Man wedding speech. If this is a confidence thing for you then spend a lot of time on the speech and get as much help as you can so that you have a speech that is so good you can't wait to read it out. This way your confidence will be sky high and you will make a great impact when delivering your Best Man wedding speech.
