5 Key Steps to the Flawless Execution of Your Wedding Day!

Whether you are a bride that has partnered up with a wedding planner or the brave girl that opted to produce your wedding by yourself, the tips below will make all the difference in flawlessly executing your special day!

Below are some my tips of how to be on your way of flawlessly executing your dream wedding.

1. Stay Organized & Focused! The most common questions received at bridal shows and seminars that prepare the bride for the exciting journey ahead is "if you could give one piece of advice, what would it be?", the answer to this question always was and always will be...stay organized & focused! What does that really mean? It means that you can't materialize anything you know what you want to materialize. Most brides are constantly overwhelmed because they find it hard to stay focused & organized.

2. Stick with an Effective Tracking System (ETS): After your mind is organized and you are feeling focused, stick with an effective tracking system. Do not overwhelm yourself with a bunch or reports and worksheets the first day following your engagement! First begin with a simple and easy to understand month by month wedding calendar. On average, the time to plan a wedding is typically 6 months to a year, create a well balanced scheme of your wedding beginning with your first appointment & ending with the day of your wedding.

3. Contingency Plans: Truth be told, we live in the real world which has tons of variables, the best way the best solution for a flawless execution in a not so flawless world is to anticipate the "flaw" before it arrives and have contingency plans in place. Great contingency plans vs. "so so" contingency plans are what defer a well executed wedding from a poorly executed wedding. Do yourself a favor, have plan B's in place for some variable occurrences on your wedding day!

4. Diversify your risk! Literal translation: if planning your wedding yourself it is important not to delegate all major tasks to a single individual. Spread your tasks among a few trusted individuals. For example: have your mom help prepare the favors and your maid of honor look out for the bouquets. You can't be sure of how others react to stress therefore by delegating realistic tasks to your people you are not only helping them to feel great about helping you but you are also helping yourself by diversifying your risk!

5. Assumptions are the birth of poor communication! While it's a well known fact that a lack of communication is a major contributing factor to assumptions which lead to mistakes which lead to poor executions... few care find the time to clarify objectives and attempt to keep everyone involved on a project well informed. A great way to better communicate with your team is to completely illuminate the "assumption" gene from your mind while planning your wedding! Review tasks often and ask lots of questions.

Following these simple steps can help you begin the new chapter in your life on your A-game!
